The New Testament is valued in many settings as both a historical and cultural treasure, but Christians revere it as the culmination and climax of the ultimate source of spiritual guidance. This collection of ancient writings tells the pivotal story of Jesus of Nazareth, who came as the Messiah promised in Old Testament prophecies to establish the kingdom of God among men. These Scriptures follow the expansion of the kingdom, observe its testing, and witness its ultimate victory. This course examines all twenty-seven New Testament books, their authors, their historical context, and their unique messages and purposes for both the Christian believers and the wider world. The message of each of the New Testament books is hope for all who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Through your study of this course, we pray that you will: Be able to state the author, date, origin, recipients, occasion, characteristics, key word, and argument of each NT book Know the chronological order of each NT book, and how it relates to the book of Acts, to Roman history, and to Jewish history Be able to show how each NT book relates to your culture and to world missions Personally apply the truths that you have learned from God's Word Treasure God's call to a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ As you begin your study of the New Testament, get ready to see God's plan unfold through His Word to mankind.

Excerpt from The Bee World, Vol. 2: June, 1920-May, 1921 Yes Bees have moods as truly as human beings and the bee keepers to succeed must study them. To get the best out of human nature is impossible if we treat all people alike and to treat most people in the same way invariably would be fatal to happy progress. There is not only variety of people, but a continuous changing of moods in the same people. And all this can and should be applied to the populations of our apiaries. BEE World courses lead students to study God's word through the text and questions that are designed to encourage students to "know, be, and do." This course is a study of one of the most significant books of the New Testament: Paul's magnum opus, the epistle to the Romans. This letter has had an enormous impact on the history of the church and in fact was a pivotal document of the Protestant Reformation. Both Martin Luther and John Wesley were profoundly impacted by this work and found Christ through its pages. This course is the second part of a study of Paul's epistles to the Galatians and Romans. In this course students will study Paul's letter to the Romans and look at the historical background and examine the vital theological issues in the early church in Rome. Students will gain new insights into Christian life and service as they apply the teaching of this epistle to contemporary situations. The lessons in this course are grouped into two units. In Unit 1, students will study Paul's extensive explanation of the gospel as he looks at man's need of and God's provision for salvation, our new life of freedom, and our life in the Spirit. Unit 2 examines the second half of the book of Romans where Paul applies the gospel to a Christian's daily life. Students will look at Paul's words about the gospel for both Jew and Gentile, the Christian walk according to the truth of the gospel, and finally the gospel and the church. Romans was Paul's summary of the Christian teaching. There is no more magnificent statement of the doctrines of grace than those found in this letter. We pray that this course will richly impact the students.

Many of the problems the church in Corinth experienced would have been immediately obvious the casual attendee. The church was divided; people behaved in selfish, unloving ways; some denied fundamental doctrines; the church tolerated gross immorality; worship services were disorderly. The church leadership seemed to have abdicated responsibility. The Corinthian believers had lost sight of the focus of the gospel: love God and love one another. In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul counsels the church to let love and godliness have first place in their assemblies. As we study this course on 1 Corinthians, we will apply his teaching and counsel to our own lives and the church today. Through your study of this course, we pray that you will:Understand the core issues that led to disunity in the early Corinthian church and that are present in many churches todayExplain Paul's resolutions to issues he encountered and see his purpose in writing the letterBe able to identify the difference in wisdom of man and wisdom of God and how it applies to discernment of false teachingsDevelop an understanding of "freedom in Christ" and the importance of exercising those freedoms in love for your fellow brotherRecognize that the struggles that took place in ancient Corinth also take place in many churches todayObtain practical ways to apply Paul's teachings to your own life and in your church today Are you ready to begin your study of 1 Corinthians? This course will guide you through the precious writings of one of the great apostles, address heart issues, and point out the path to true, God-honoring freedom.
