Forced to return to the town he grew up in, the last person Hunter expects to run into is the mysterious savior who changed everything with one soul shattering kiss. "If your enemies are starving, feed them some bread; if they are thirsty, give them water to drink." Proverbs 24:17 (CEB) There is nothing more crippling than holding on to anger. Anger, more than any other emotion, has the power to consume all aspects of our lives, distort our sense of purpose, and destroy our relationship with God. In the passionate and life-changing book Forgiveness: Finding Peace Though Letting Go, bestselling author Adam Hamilton brings the same insight that he applied in the bestseller "Why?" to the challenge of forgiveness. Hamilton argues that revelation comes when we realize that forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves rather than to someone else. He also contends that only when we learn to forgive others and ourselves can we truly receive forgiveness from God.

DO YOU STRUGGLE TO FORGIVE? All of us experience hardship of one kind or another as we go through life. But it’s betrayal by loved ones, colleagues, friends, and even complete strangers that can lead to one of the toughest challenges that human beings face—the issue of forgiveness. From the time we are small, many of us are taught to forgive those who hurt us, or to ask for forgiveness when we hurt others. However, some wounds are so traumatic that they seem almost impossible to forgive. So, where can we find that “deeper grace” to forgive the seemingly unforgivable? Finding Forgiveness in God’s Word is a journey through the Bible and author Joyce Villeneuve’s own difficult experiences—one that offers true hope to those who struggle with unforgiveness, along with answers to such tough questions as: How can I forgive others? How can I forgive myself? How can God forgive me? And more... Through these powerful true stories, you’ll discover there is nothing that can keep you from receiving God’s forgiveness, grace, and redemption, if you ask for it. You’ll also learn the keys to forgiving others, no matter how inexcusable or even unspeakable their actions. You’ll be filled with hope and the power to have the abundant life that Jesus promised us, through receiving and practicing forgiveness. And, best of all, you’ll come to know the peace and comfort of God, which is beyond understanding (Philippians 4:7).

For more than a decade, Marion Jones was hailed as the “the fastest woman on the planet.” At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, she became the first woman ever to win five medals at one Olympics. That same year, the Associated Press and ESPN named her Athlete of the Year. She was on the cover of Vogue and Time. She seemed to have it all—fame, fortune, talent, and international acclaim. Now she is a convicted felon. The trouble started in 2003 when she lied to federal agents about her use of a performance-enhancing drug and her knowledge of a check fraud scam. In 2007, no longer able to live with the lies, she admitted the truth. In a sad end to what seemed like a storybook career, she was stripped of her medals, and her track-and-field records were wiped from the books. She was incarcerated at Carswell federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas—a prison known for its violence and abuse. While there, she kept herself in shape and her sanity intact by running on a dirt track and a treadmill in the prison’s improvised weight room. But her imprisonment was not the end for Marion Jones. In fact, it marked a new beginning. She is now using her story to change the lives of people the world over and inspire others who, like her, face obstacles that seem insurmountable. On the Right Track is the candidly told story of how Marion came to grips with her lies and the consequences of her actions, and how she found meaning in all of it. What she tells her children and has now applied to her own life is that when you make a mistake, you admit it, you accept the consequences, you move on, you make the wrong a right. She teaches her children and others to take a break and pause before making impulsive and potentially harmful decisions. At the heart of this book are real issues that we all face: learning to grow through pain; making decisions that will help us far into the future; overcoming failure and discouragement; and applying practical principles that point the way to personal and spiritual breakthrough.

Adrian Smith was raised in what seemed to be a very traditional, Roman Catholic upbringing. His father, Adrian Smith Sr, was very religious. He had studied to be a priest and left the seminary only 6 months before his ordination. After he left the seminary, Adrian Sr then worked for 30 years as a child psychologist for PEI's Department of Education. He died at the age of 58 from a brain tumor. A week later after his death, Adrian Jr discovered that his father had been living a lie and that he was homosexual; he had kept it hidden his whole life. Adrian kept his father's sexuality a secret until his mother died. At that time, he decided to make a conscious effort to face his and his father's story. He ended up having travel away from PEI to get counselling to help him get over the lies of his past. He was finally making progress when allegations of sexual abuse against my father surfaced. The book details a son's experience with coming to terms with the secrecy and betrayal. But it is also a story of redemption as after years of hard work Smith could finally find forgiveness.
