In this autobiography the author tells his story about life as a child and a teenager in his native home of Liberia. He paints a clear picture of his childhood, growing up in large family as one of twelfth children from three mothers. He takes his reader into his youthful days as a despaired refugee living in a neighboring country of the Republic of Guinea. He also writes about his three near death episodes, two of which took place in Liberia and one in the Republic of Guinea. He later writes about his life experiences as a man and student at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. While living in Atlanta, he experiences something he never knew existed in America until he went there, homelessness. His story is one of pain and love, trials and faith, obstacles and triumph, disappointments and opportunities, fear and perseverance, sorrows and blessings, failure and success. He also compares and contrasts his life in the three phases and places mentioned above. What he hopes to achieve by writing this book is to share, inspire, educate any probably entertain his readers. He also believes and encourages his readers that with prayers and determination nothing is impossible. He hopes that giving vivid accounts of his life experiences might help someone clearly see and seize what he refers to as golden opportunities that many have but do not realize.
