Two men. Two myths. One legend. The greatest love story ever told has finally been released in graphic novel form, featuring 20 short stories about the domestic life of "Henry" and "Glenn" and sometimes their neighbors "Daryl" and "John." Glenn deals with issues with his mother while Henry, "a loud guy with a good work ethic," shows his darker side and indifference to a fan as he drinks black coffee and bonds with Glenn over their distaste for their own bands. These are two men who truly suffer best together. The book collects four serialized comics, adds 100 never-before published pages, including new stories, pin up art, and full color covers from the original series.

Wuvable Oaf is the first-ever collection of the acclaimed self-published comic book series by cartoonist Ed Luce. Oaf is a large, hirsute, scary-looking ex-wrestler who lives in San Francisco with his adorable kitties and listens to a lot of Morrissey. The book follows Oaf ’s search for love in the big city, especially his pursuit of Eiffel, the lead singer of the black metal/queercore/ progressive disco grindcore band Ejaculoid. Luce weaves between the friends, associates, enemies, ex-lovers and pasts of both men into the story of their courtship. A romantic comedy at its core, Wuvable Oaf recalls elements of comics as diverse as Scott Pilgrim, Love and Rockets, and Archie, set against the background of San Francisco’s queer community and music scene.

Through hundreds of exclusive and original interviews, Punk USA documents an empire that was built overnight as Lookout sold millions of records and rode the wave of the second coming of punk rock until it all came crashing down. In 1987, Lawrence Livermore founded independent punk label Lookout Records to release records by his band The Lookouts. Forming a partnership with David Hayes, the label released some of the most influential recordings from California’s East Bay punk scene, including a then-teenaged Green Day. Originally operating out of a bedroom, Lookout created "The East Bay Punk sound,” with bands such as Crimpshrine, Operation Ivy, The Mr. T Experience, and many more. The label helped to pave the way for future punk upstarts and as Lookout grew, young punk entrepreneurs used the label as a blueprint to try their hand at record pressing. As punk broke nationally in the mid 90s the label went from indie outfit to having more money than it knew how to manage.

A book of experimental "poetry as comics" by Los Angeles based artist Tom Neely. Best known for the cult-hit slash-fiction comics Henry & Glenn Forever (Microcosm Publishing) and the riotous ape-biker-gang comic book series The Humans (Image Comics), Neely began these small drawings and paintings in 2010 as an experiment in creating abstract one panel gag comic strips. The ideas of these poems sprang out of conversations about Art with Neely's best friend and fellow cartoonist Dylan Williams (Sparkplug Comic Books) who passed away in 2011. Neely began these pieces as a means to push himself into new ideas of abstract and non-linear, narrative work - to find freedom in the images and the sequences. The paintings shuffled and re-shuffled until they found their sequential voice as poems. The first poem "I just figured it all out..." digs deep into Neely's soul to ask why does one make art? "Noise" is a commentary on the loss of faith in the true nature of Art in a modern world that is caught up in a flurry of disposable, candy-coated pop-culture. "Unfinished" is about loss - the loss of a friend to an early death, and finding yourself lost in a self you no longer understand. Neely wasn't sure if he wanted to release this work to the public. These deeply personal pieces spanned a period between 2010 and 2013, painted with ink, watercolor, acrylics, collage and tears. To some, this work harkens back to Neely's earlier surrealistic graphic novels The Blot and The Wolf, as well as his previous book of comic strip poetry Brilliantly Ham-fisted. 64 pages in black and white and color.

In 1914, Henry James began work on a major novel about the immense new fortunes of America's Gilded Age. After an absence of more than twenty years, James had returned for a visit to his native country; what he found there filled him with profound dismay. In The Ivory Tower, his last book, the characteristic pattern underlying so much of his fiction -- in which American "innocence" is transformed by its encounter with European "experience" -- receives a new twist: raised abroad, the hero comes home to America to confront, as James puts it, "the black and merciless things that are behind the great possessions." James died in 1916 with the first three books of The Ivory Tower completed. He also left behind a "treatment," in which he charted the further progress of his story. This fascinating scenario, one of only two to survive among James's papers, is also published here together with a striking critical essay by Ezra Pound. Book jacket.
