It’s all fun and games until fantasy gets real . . . At twenty-seven, Dinah Gallagher thought she’d have it all figured out. Instead, she’s having mind-blowing online sex with a man she knows nothing about and fighting for her rightful place in the family business. Part of that battle means expanding their century-old restaurant by getting the stubborn urban farmer next door to sell them his lot. But Carter Trask is tired of being pushed around—especially by rich families like the Gallaghers. All he has left is the little farm he’s scratched out of his grandmother’s yard. At least he can blow off steam with the anonymous woman he’s been emailing for the past eight months, who makes his every sexual fantasy come alive—even if it’s only online. When Dinah suddenly realizes that Carter’s gardens look just like some of her mystery man’s photos, she can’t resist trying to turn her dreams into reality. Against his better judgment, Carter joins in the game. But in real life, passion has a way of becoming very complicated, very quickly. And sometimes the wrong choice can turn out to be oh so right . . . “Sharp, funny, and sinfully sexy—Nicole Helm is my favorite new author!” —Maisey Yates, New York Times bestselling author.

Your mother hollers that you're going to miss the bus. She can see it coming down the street. You don't stop and hug her and tell her you love her. You don't thank her for being a good, kind, patient mother. Of course not—you launch yourself down the stairs and make a run for the corner. Only, if it's the last time you'll ever see your mother, you sort of start to wish you'd stopped and did those things. Maybe even missed the bus. But the bus was barreling down our street, so I ran. Fourteen kids. One superstore. A million things that go wrong. In Emmy Laybourne's action-packed debut novel, six high school kids (some popular, some not), two eighth graders (one a tech genius), and six little kids trapped together in a chain superstore build a refuge for themselves inside. While outside, a series of escalating disasters, beginning with a monster hailstorm and ending with a chemical weapons spill, seems to be tearing the world—as they know it—apart.

“THE SORCERER’S RING has all the ingredients for an instant success: plots, counterplots, mystery, valiant knights, and blossoming relationships replete with broken hearts, deception and betrayal. It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers.” --Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos AN OATH OF BROTHERS is Book #14 in the Bestselling series THE SORCERER'S RING, which begins with A QUEST OF HEROES (book #1)—a free download on Google Play! In AN OATH OF BROTHERS, Thorgrin and his brothers emerge from the land of the dead, more driven than ever to find Guwayne, and set sail across a hostile sea, leading them to places beyond their wildest dreams. As they come ever-closer to finding Guwayne, they also encounter obstacles unlike ever before, obstacles which will test them to their very limits, which will call on all their training and force them to stand together as one, as brothers. Darius stands up to the Empire, boldly freeing one slave village after the next, amassing an army, as others rally to his cause. Facing off against fortified cities, against an army a thousand times his size, he summons all of his instincts and courage, determined to survive, determined to win, to strive for freedom at any cost, even at the cost of his life. Gwendolyn, with no other choice, leads her people into the Great Waste, deeper into the Empire than anyone has ever journeyed, on a quest to find the legendary Second Ring—the last hope for the survival of her people, and the last hope for Darius. Yet along the way she will encounter horrific monsters, worse landscapes, and an insurrection from amidst her own people that even she may not be able to stop. Erec and Alistair sail for the Empire to save their people, and along the way stop at hidden islands, determined to raise an army—even if it means dealing with mercenaries of questionable repute. Godfrey finds himself deep inside the city of Volusia and deep in trouble as his plan goes from bad to worse. Imprisoned, set to be executed, finally, even he can see no way out. Volusia forges a pact with the darkest of sorcerers, and driven to even greater heights, she continues her ascent, conquering all who stand in her way. More powerful than ever, she will take her war all the way to the steps of the Empire Capital—until she is up against the entire Empire army, an army that dwarfs even her own, setting the stage for an epic battle. Will Thorgrin find Guwayne? Will Gwendolyn and her people survive? Will Godfrey escape? Will Erec and Alistair reach the Empire? Will Volusia become the next Empress? Will Darius lead his people to victory? With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, AN OATH OF BROTHERS is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders. “[An] entertaining epic fantasy.” —Kirkus Reviews “Action-packed …. Rice's writing is solid and the premise intriguing.” --Publishers Weekly “The beginnings of something remarkable are there.” --San Francisco Book Review “A spirited fantasy ….Only the beginning of what promises to be an epic young adult series.” --Midwest Book Review “A quick and easy read…you have to read what happens next and you don’t want to put it down.”

The first title I had for this book was; "GETTING OUT OF HELL". Because that is one main point we all were taught & still no one Preaches ALL must come out of hell. It's in Rev. 20:13 and is plainly written. Pastors don't preach it because they can't explain the "Lake of Fire" that most go to from Hell. Some of those getting out of hell at the 2nd Resurrection will go to the New Earth. That's why the Book of Life is open AGAIN at the 2nd Res. Rev 20:15. Then who really burns forever & ever in the Lake of Fire? Again not ALL. Rev 14:9-11 says ONLY those who do 3 specific things will be tormented for ever. All who ever lived on earth who do not do THOSE 3 things will eventually receive the 2nd death after they have paid for all, all, all their sins on earth. Even "idle words". That's why the Lake is called the "second death" also. Then I got to thinking of all the other things they got wrong that are JUST as important & decided to just call the book "ABSOLUTELY WRONG". I ask readers to please check this book with any book on Rev by any Denomination or Scholar & compare them with that Holy Spirit that indwells all Christians. I say over & over in this book they must "learn to know His leading & stop believing everything they hear from the pulpit. "If the blind [leaders] lead the blind [followers] BOTH fall into the ditch" [of hell]. There is a New Earth but no Pastor seems to know exactly who gets it. I show you this. One last thing is the so called "Tribulation Saints" are NOT anyone who is saved DURING the Tribulation. No one can who did not accept Christ can be saved after the Great Trib starts. They are 2 tribulations anyway. The first we ALL go into. In this book you will know for "sure" who the 2 Witnesses are. Christians can never ask a non Christian who has followed Hindu, Islam etc to check their teaching they have followed 1,000's of years, when they won't re-check their denominational one they followed a few 100 years. There are 2 places to spend eternal life. One is in Heaven with a Spiritual body. The other is on the New Earth with a new physical body. You will KNOW who gets which & why. Jesus only Preached Heaven because we all can make Heaven IF we get the Gospel right.

Through the years 1965 to 1967 we follow the author experiencing and living in Europe’s underground. He takes us from the bottom of the insane ward of infamous Wormwood-prison in London to the heights of meeting Allen Ginsberg – one of his great idols – before the seminal event of `65– “The Wholly Communion” at Albert Hall. He moved across Europe, lived several months in the red-light district of Antwerp, and had his first acid experience in Ibiza and Formentera. When he realized that his girlfriend was pregnant all lightness disappeared from their ecstatic wild life and the existence of an outcast lost all it’s glamour. To make things worse: the army was also after him! From a desperate and failed attempt to be straight and a father he escaped to Guernsey, an island in the English Channel, where he mended his broken body and soul. – And just in time... for the London of 1967, where he founded the ”Commune One West Hempstead”, took a lot of soul-searching acid trips, designed psychedelic posters and met many outstanding characters, who meanwhile either have died or became very famous. Brummbaers trip began when he was thrown out of his home, because he invited some social misfits to celebrate Christmas on Earth with him. The book ends four years later with a huge “Christmas on Earth” party in the Olympia-Convention Halls in London, with everybody attending, from Jimi Hendrix to Eric Burdon, the Who, Pink Floyd, and an audience of many thousands.

Like pesky wasps buzzing circles around us, people who act as if they were the sole expert on a subject put us on edge. In halls of learning where we least expect to find it, in governments, in religious temples, in businesses, in marriages and families, dogmatism is the arrogant voice of certainty that closes the mind, damages relationships, and threatens peaceful coexistence on this planet. -From chapter 1In this incisive analysis of an increasingly pervasive problem, clinical psychologist Dr. Judy J. Johnson presents a landmark theory that probes the psychological channels of dogmatism. While other books describe the effects of specific types of ideological extremism, a wide-angle theory of dogmatism-in all its manifestations-has been lacking until now.Drawing from traditional and contemporary personality theories, biopsychology, social learning theory, Buddhism, and evolutionary psychology, Johnson explores major influences that shape the personality trait of dogmatism. She uses lively case studies to illustrate twelve characteristics of dogmatism, and suggests strategies for minimizing its harmful effects in our personal lives as well as our educational, political, and other social institutions.Written in a clear, engaging style that is professional in tone yet accessible to a wide audience, Johnson's insightful work will enlighten readers on one of the most important issues of our time.ADVANCE PRAISE FOR WHAT'S SO WRONG WITH BEING ABSOLUTELY RIGHT:Dr. Johnson ably confronts one of the most pressing dangers of our time, dogmatic thinking in all its forms. This important and timely examination of its roots, the processes involved, and possible societal remedies will be interest to all who value reason, and should be required reading for anyone dealing with the many enemies of reason on society's behalf.-PROFESSOR JAMES ALCOCK, PhD, Department of Psychology, Glendon College, York University; Author of Science and Supernature, A textbook of Social Psychology, and Parapsychology: Science or magic? In a career devoted to analysis of the logical fallacies and empirical misrepresentations underlying widespread beliefs that make no rational sense, I've often wondered about the reasons why so many people would hold such demonstratively false empirical beliefs. Clearly a part of the answer was the desire to be a member of the 'good people' who held the relevant belief. But just as clearly there were configurations of psychological factors generating such powerful drives to accept the indefensible. Judy J. Johnson addresses this issue in a powerful and fascinating work that reads like a book for a general audience, but maintains all the rigor of a serious scientific publication. Accomplishing this is something of a miracle. I urge any reader wishing to understand why so many people (many of whom you've met, or are perhaps related to) insist on replacing clear thinking with dogmatism. Dr. Johnson's book is a major achievement.-STEVEN GOLDBERG, Professor Emeritus of City College, City University of New York; Author of Why Men Rule, When Wish Replaces Thought, and Fads and Fallacies in the Social SciencesJudy J. Johnson, PhD (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), is professor of psychology at Mount Royal College and the author of Suicide Intervention Program: A Group Facilitator's Manual.
