Examines the construction, manipulation and re-definition of life in contemporary technoscientific culture. It takes a critical political view of the concept of life as information, tracing this through the new biology and the discourse of genomics as well as through the changing discipline of artificial life and its manifestation in art, language, literature, commerce and entertainment. From cloning to computer games, and incorporating an analysis of hardware, software and 'wetware', Sarah Kember extends current understanding by demonstrating the ways in which this relatively marginal field connects with, and connects up global networks of information and communication systems characterised, increasingly, by claims to autonomy, agency and evolvability. From a feminist perspective, and with a set of concerns related to the role of the body, the self and the species in the production of life-as-it-could-be, the argument turns on the realisation that resistance is futile. Artificial life (ALife) is, in part, an adaptation to the climate of opposition surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Through revelation, Christian faith, and visions--the contents of this book was revealed to me. I was able to use the King James version of the Bible and a pictorial Bible dictionary to substantiate the information presented. Remembering, through time, the Bible, which is a book where the holy scriptures are contained, has been transcribed historically by man for centuries; however, this book is not an attempt to interpret the contents of the Bible, for the Bible should never be altered by additions or deletions, the words of God are to remain the same forever. If mankind would allow the spirit of God to enter into their hearts, He will guide them to do His will. Our God is in control of everything in creation and nothing is above or beyond Him.

About the Book by the Mother Goddess and Her Special Band of Angelic Helpers from Within the Kingdom of the Heavens The following pages are of briefly channeled sessions that took place over a number of months. What you have before you is the work or workings of one individual channel or processor, we call, Shannon Lynn. She has been working with us from within the angelic realms for a number of years now, in your time. She comes forth in the guidance and for the direction of each of you here, guiding and showing you to the steps of the light of the Lord within each of you here, or in this then the stepping available to and for you, once and if you then decide to make it so; just meaning, that in which you are then willing to take the steps or in the directions of and toward, and into... Into the unknown and the undiscovered depths of thy very own souls in this, into the light of the Lord that does indeed, always has and always will lie from within the very each of you here, now and forever. Amen. Peace be to the Lord, our God, in this here then. Amen. Peace be to all.

Based on a non-consequentialist ethical theory, this book critically examines the prevalent view that if a fetus has the moral standing of a person, it has a right to life and abortion is impermissible. Most discussion of abortion has assumed that this view is correct, and so has focused on the question of the personhood of the fetus. Kamm begins by considering in detail the permissibility of killing in non-abortion cases which are similar to abortion cases. She goes on to consider the case for the permissibility of abortion in many types of pregnancies, including ones resulting from rape, voluntary pregnancy, and pregnancy resulting from a voluntary sex act, even if the fetus is considered a person. This argument emerges as part of a broader theory of creating new people responsibly. Kamm explores the implications of this argument for informed consent to abortion; responsibilities in pregnancy that is not aborted, and the significance of extra-uterine gestation devices for the permissibility of abortion.
