The very beginning of this affair, which involved me, before I was aware of it, in as much villainy and wickedness as ever man heard of, was, of course, that spring evening, now ten years ago, whereon I looked out of my mother's front parlour window in the main street of Berwick-upon-Tweed and saw, standing right before the house, a man who had a black patch over his left eye, an old plaid thrown loosely round his shoulders, and in his right hand a stout stick and an old-fashioned carpet-bag. He caught sight of me as I caught sight of him, and he stirred, and made at once for our door. If I had possessed the power of seeing more than the obvious, I should have seen robbery, and murder, and the very devil himself coming in close attendance upon him as he crossed the pavement. But as it was, I saw nothing but a stranger, and I threw open the window and asked the man what he might be wanting.

A GREAT MURDER MYSTERY!There may be folk in the world to whom the finding of a dead man, lying grim and stark by the roadside, with the blood freshly run from it and making ugly patches of crimson on the grass and the gravel, would be an ordinary thing; but to me that had never seen blood let in violence, except in such matters as a bout of fisticuffs at school, it was the biggest thing that had ever happened, and I stood staring down at the white face as if I should never look at anything else as long as I lived. I remember all about that scene and that moment as freshly now as if the affair had happened last night. The dead man lying in the crushed grass--his arms thrown out helplessly on either side of him. This book is a result of an effort made by us towards making a contribution to the preservation and repair of original classic literature. In an attempt to preserve, improve and recreate the original content, we have worked towards:1. Correction of imperfections: As the work was re-created from the scratch, therefore, it was vetted to rectify certain conventional norms with regard to typographical mistakes, hyphenations, punctuations, blurred images, missing content/pages, and/or other related subject matters, upon our consideration. Every attempt was made to rectify the imperfections related to omitted constructs in the original edition via other references. However, a few of such imperfections which could not be rectified due to intentional\unintentional omission of content in the original edition, were inherited and preserved from the original work to maintain the authenticity and construct, relevant to the work.We believe that this work holds historical, cultural and/or intellectual importance in the literary works community, therefore despite the oddities, we accounted the work for print as a part of our continuing effort towards preservation of literary work and our contribution towards the development of the society as a whole, driven by our beliefs. Munch Malone is one seriously inept golfer, but that hasn’t dimmed his enthusiasm for the game. Now, at seventy, Munch, a high handicapper, has drawn some unlikely attention—from the afterlife. From on high, two golfers—both quite deceased—have been scouring Earth on a quest to find the perfect golfer. But there are so many golfers on so many golf courses. If they are ever to play the game they both loved so much in life again, they need just the right golfer for a grand experiment from the Great Beyond. And then they find Munch. Target acquired, they settle back into their easy chairs in the great clubhouse in the sky, drinks in hand, to watch as their experiment plays itself out down on terra firma—on high-definition television, of course. Meanwhile, down on Earth, Munch is going about his life, oblivious to the role he is about to play in their game. He’s just invested in clubs that once belonged to scratch golfers— his secret strategy for success in the USGA Senior Men’s Amateur Championship. But his destiny to win the Open is derailed as Vegas operatives plot to steal his clubs. The escapade romps across The Greenbrier’s Old White Golf Course and into the hotel’s underground bunker—as the adventure is spiced up by sexual twists and Glocks being drawn on the course. Now, it’s a battle of wills—both terrestrial and heavenly—to see if Munch’s destiny or his ineptitude will reign supreme.

""Dead Men Don't Eat Lunch"" paints a devastating picture of how British Governments have been corrupted for 30 years by huge bribes from the international arms trade, and how that corruption may even now be tainting the Liberal-Conservative Coalition Government of David Cameron and Nick Clegg. Special emphasis is given in ""Dead Men"" to the role of 'Al Yamamah, ' the notorious $150 billion arms contract between Great Britain and Saudi Arabia, which still generates $300 million in kickbacks every year. The author sets out, in gripping detail, his own discovery that the mysterious death of his close colleague, and former rising British political star, Hugh Simmonds CBE, was the direct consequence of his deadly role as British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's personal arms dealer, money-launderer and assassin.
