A steady best-seller and The Invisible String is reaching all over the World! OVER 400,000 copies sold! "That's impossible", said twins Jeremy & Liza after their Mom told them they're all connected by this thing called an Invisible String. "What kind of string"? They asked with a puzzled look to which Mom replied, "An Invisible String made of love." That's where the story begins. A story that teaches of the tie that really binds. The Invisible String reaches from heart to heart. Does everybody have an Invisible String? How far does it reach, anyway? Does it ever go away? Read all about it! THE INVISIBLE STRING is a very simple approach to overcoming the fear of loneliness or separation with an imaginative flair that children can easily identify with and remember. Here is a warm and delightful lesson teaching young and old that we aren't ever really alone and reminding children (and adults!) that when we are loved beyond anything we can imagine. "People who love each other are always connected by a very special String, made of love. Even though you can't see it with your eyes, you can feel it deep in your heart, and know that you are always connected to the ones you love." Thus begins this heart-warming and reassuring story that addresses the issue of "separation anxiety" (otherwise known as the sense of existential 'aloneness') to children of all ages. Specifically written to address children's fear of being apart from the ones they love, The Invisible String delivers a particularly compelling message in today's uncertain times that though we may be separated from the ones we care for, whether through anger, or distance or even death, love is the unending connection that binds us all, and, by extension, ultimately binds every person on the planet to everyone else. Parents and children everywhere who are looking for reassurance and reaffirmation of the transcendent power of love, to bind, connect and comfort us through those inevitable times when life challenges us! Let's tell the whole world that we are ALL connected by Invisible Strings! Adopted by Military Library Services & Foster Care Agencies Recommended by Bereavement Support Groups and Hospice Centers

This is a work of fiction. A novel based on a foundation of certain firm probabilities. The reader never knows if he has reached the end. He is unwilling to leave the Kingdom; he is unwilling to forget Princess Rajeswary; he does not want to leave the company of the ascetic Vishnushatry; he is willing to remain spellbound by the lectures of Professor Arjun and Catherine; he wants to visit the North Woods to have a glimpse of the majestic Promi Sierra; he wants to see how Suryawarma’s sword blazes. He wants to return again and again to the chapters that are so adorable and so realistic. He is caged within the pages… No, this is not a novel. It is a visit to an extraordinarily enchanting place. The stories are intertwined cohesively to present the story of a small civilization, and there is a shade of mystery! The kingdom of Promipur is a wealthy and advanced kingdom—advanced in terms of human progression in the absolute sense. At the conclusion, the reader is unwilling to keep the book down, wishing only that what happens at the end ought not to have happened.

In The Meat Puppets and the Lyrics of Curt Kirkwood from Meat Puppets II to No Joke!, Matthew Smith-Lahrman interprets the words of Curt Kirkwood, founding member and songwriter of the Meat Puppets, a pioneering rock ’n’ roll band of the last thirty years. Smith-Lahrman’s analysis covers Kirkwood’s lyrics on nine albums, from 1983 to 1995, when he wrote virtually every lyric for the band. A lyricist whom Rolling Stone writer Kurt Loder once rated alongside Bob Dylan, Kirkwood remains an important, yet overlooked songwriter. His often oblique “cut-up” style not only recalls Dylan but also other great lyricists, such as Brian Eno, Jimi Hendrix, and Robert Hunter, as well as poets and authors like John Milton, Arthur Rimbaud, Lewis Carroll, and William Burroughs.

A fifteen-year-old boy is walking through a swirling fog on his way to school when a voice calls out, "Come here. We need to talk." Out of the mist emerges an old man with a white beard. He is a fantastic figure, as wizardly as Merlin, as wise as Socrates, as peaceful as Buddha. Whoever he is, the old man has appeared on that very day to change the boy's life. "You are old enough to learn about things," he says mysteriously. "And who is going to teach you but me?" The old man gives the boy four days of "soul training," a time of riddles, tricks, parables, and incredible twists that brings out surprising answers to each of four burning questions about spirituality: Do I have a soul? How do wishes come true? What is the supreme force in the universe? How can I change the world? "The old man with the white beard showed me the spiritual side of life," writes Deepak Chopra, "where real passion and excitement come from. So before you begin, take a deep breath. This story could turn out to be yours."

Two great writers and their books that have had an influenced on me in the writing of this book are Jonathan Swifts (1667-1745) and John Bunyan (1628-1688). Jonathan Swift masterpiece titled 'Gulliver's Travels' was an allegorical attack on the hypocrisy of the human behavior that he witnessed in almost every level of life in England, especially on the political stage. John Bunyan was the author of another famous allegorical book about a soul in search of salvation-'Pilgrim's Progress.' I do not believe this book will in any way approach the level of these two great masterpieces, but like Swift and Bunyan, I too have some comments about the behavior of my fellow Spacelanders (as I like to refer to them). What do they really believe in? What have they committed and dedicated their lives to? Because I believe the answers to these questions are the determining factors of their behavior. Like all allegorical books you will need a great imagination. But as Oscar Wilde said, "Imagination is a quality given man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humor was provided to console him for what he is." Edwin Willwerth has been married for over fifty years and is the father of three children. He was a high school mathematics teacher for thirty years. Besides teaching in several public and private schools within the United States, he has also taught in Paraguay for one year, Nepal for two years and China for six months. He has been very active in his local church, serving for a number of years as a Sunday School teacher and later as head of the Sunday School Department. He was the Missionary Director within his church for several years. He has also spent time on Missionary projects in Haiti and Campeche, Mexico.

"Hugh Kenner's The Pound Era could as well be known as the Kenner era, for there is no critic who has more firmly established his claim to valuable literary property than has Kenner to the first three decades of the 20th century in England. Author of pervious studies of Joyce, T.S. Eliot, Wyndham Lewis and Pound (to name a few), Kenner bestrides modern literature if not like a colossus then at least a presence of formidable proportions. A new book by him is certainly an event....A demanding, enticing book that glitters at the same time it antagonizes...."The Pound Era presents us with an idiosyncratic but sharply etched skeletal view of our immediate literary heritage."--The New York Times "It is notoriously difficult to recognize degrees of pre-eminence among one's near-contemporaries. We talk now of the age of Donne, a label that would have seemed bizarre to Ben Johnson. Will The Pound Era seem an appropriate designation, 50 or 100 years hence, for the epoch we think of as 'modern'? Mr. Kenner's brilliantly written book establishes an excellent case for supposing the answer to be 'Yes.'"--The Economist "Mr. Kenner's study...is not so much a book as a library, or better, a new kind of book in which biography, history, and the analysis of literature are so harmoniously articulated that every page has a narrative sense....The Pound Era is a book to be read and reread and studied. For the student of modern letters it is a treasure, for the general reader it is one of the most interesting books he will ever pick up in a lifetime of reading."--National Review
