The promise of what Blockchain can offer businesses has evolved from a cryptocurrency payment gateway platform to something bigger and truly a game-changer. Blockchain can be a transformative technology for many businesses as it has the potential to drive a distributed and decentralized way of re-imagining processes and business models. As an inter- organizational paradigm, Blockchain enables cooperation, collaboration, coordination, and communication between hitherto untrusted entities, unknown to each other. And, the best way to participate in this revolution is by being a part of a consortium of eco-system players. Joining a Blockchain consortium raises many questions in the minds of member organisations as this is a relatively new phenomenon. While searching for accurate, ground-level, unbiased and business-oriented information to answer the above questions, we realized that there is no single repository or detailed guide that gives complete information on the best practices of Blockchain consortiums. It was to address these lacunae that we put together this handbook for Blockchain practitioners and business leaders, to help them plan their participation in a holistic way – by cutting through the hype and focusing on the core value propositions that Blockchain consortiums may unlock for their organizations.

The purpose of this book is to offer higher education leaders, scholars, consultants, and observers a full range of strategy tools that can be applied to the higher education industry. This is accomplished by a) introducing new concepts and tools to give a comprehensive view of strategy making in higher education, beyond strategic planning, b) demonstrating the value of the concepts and tools through description and application for different types of institutions (universities, community colleges, forprofit colleges, etc.) and at different levels within institutions (institutional, college, department, etc.), and c) providing guidance on the appropriate uses of the various tools. The last point is especially important, as applying businesslike principles to higher education often receives heavy criticism. The book helps readers decipher the appropriate uses of different strategy tools to the higher education industry, but the book also points out dangers and weaknesses. All of this is done within today’s context of political, economic, demographic, and global realities.

This book presents a detailed account of two analytic case studies examined through the particular viewpoint of creativity. The first part of the book contains a review of the classical and contemporary literature on the source and function of creativity. Creativity is then examined from the perspective of several analytic models - Freudian, Kleinian, and post-Kleinian. The second and third parts of the book present case illustrations that deal with the use of creative activity in analysis. The creative use of biblical stories in the case of David, or the use of paintings and poems in the case of Rachel, portrayed the inner reality of these patients. David's violent and incestuous biblical stories reflected his world of incestuous and destructive wishes towards his primary objects (and towards the therapist in the transference). Rachel's paintings and poems conveyed her unconscious conflicts, depressive fantasies and anxieties, stemming from her fusion with her mother who was a child Holocaust survivor. Working through their relationships with their primary objects and their self perception, as revealed by these creative activities in analysis, facilitated the patients' mourning.

Mark Twain said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.” I encourage every child to start his or her own business in college or high school, a time when no mortgage or family commitments are involved. It has never been easier to start a business in today’s digitally connected world. Research shows that the fastest way to achieve financial freedom and fulfill one’s growth and contribution is to start a business. The main purpose of this book is to introduce you to the concept of business administration, so you can start your business properly. The book covers the basic principles of business success: authentic leadership; effective communication; managing money, people and resources; acquiring skills and tools in operations, finance, and marketing; and understanding the business environment, economics, and the entrepreneurial process.

This book offers a “big picture” view of three universal themes, as seen in literary representations: sea-crossing tales, human-animal relations, and (late) father-son relationships. Seen in triptych, these writings demonstrate how passing between worlds and across cultures has become the normative human condition. Authors analyzed within a hemispheric and post-national frame include works by Ernest Hemingway, J.M. Coetzee’s late Jesus novels, and Esmeralda Santiago’s When I Was Puerto Rican. Fusing literary criticism, communication studies, and literary nonfiction within a writing studies framework, Trilogies argues for the inclusion in our writing of personal, institutional, and disciplinary perspectives. The book invites readers to re-imagine writing and communication styles. How can we envision and communicate the representations of between-world experiences that are all around us? What kinds of writing and communication styles can travel beyond our “bubbles,” engage General Education students, and gain a hearing in the public sphere?
