"A wild horse and an angry young woman. Is there a secret to taming them both?Wanda Stallord is a wild, nasty handful when she first comes to Keystone Stables, and Skye is put off by the teenager’s grungy clothes and thirst for trouble. The former gang member is a lot like Keystone’s other recent arrival, a beautiful but uncontrollable Mustang called Rebel.Skye wants to help Wanda, but she seems interested only in shooting pool and handing out insults. But as she practices the gentle art of horse whispering with Rebel, Skye discovers a key that just might open up for Wanda’s fearful, lonely heart to the healing power of God’s love."

"At the conclusion of my discussions with one group of the Magdalene Women one of those present sang 'Whispering Hope'. A line from that song stays in my mind - 'when the dark midnight is over, watch for the breaking of day'. Let me hope that this day and this debate heralds a new dawn for all those who feared that the dark midnight might never end." Taoiseach Enda Kenny's State apology to the Magdalene women. On 19 February 2013 the Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny apologized to the women who had been incarcerated in Ireland's Magdalene laundries. In the audience sat Steven O'Riordan, a documentary filmmaker and founder of the charity Magdalene Survivors Together. And by his side, waiting patiently for the words they'd been fighting to hear, were some of the women he had helped. For Nancy, Kathleen, Diane, Marie and Marina were confined in Magdalene laundries throughout Ireland during the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The harrowing physical and psychological abuse they endured in the institutions, run on behalf of the State, led to a lifetime of shame and secrecy. Now, in WHISPERING HOPE, these women tell their stories for the first time. Their fight for justice and forged friendships has enabled them to move forward and have their voices heard, their individual accounts weaving together in an immensely powerful narrative that shines a light on a dark chapter in Ireland's history. Inspirational and moving, this is the story of five women brave enough to confront their past and strong enough to not let it define them.

Michael Walsh is uniquely international. His poetry does not recognise frontiers. This worldwide adored poet has restored rhythm and heartfelt meaning to poetry. He has won a following that previously rejected poetry. Much poetry, as with many other art forms, degraded by an elite, is vacuous to readers. Michael has recovered poetry from a pretentious cabal. His verse actually rhymes, makes sense, breathes emotion, expresses heartfelt sentiment. Reading the poetry of Michael Walsh is like sipping the best claret; one is left with a satisfying warmth. An expression he hears most is, “you have expressed my deepest feelings perfectly.” Michael’s verse is a mirror of the human condition in all its strengths, weaknesses, gaiety and poignancy. You will find in his delightful writing style all the heartfelt emotions of true romance. Share his love of the countryside, laugh at his humour, journey to far off lands, and visit many peoples with this much travelled people's poet.

Whispering Hope - His Saving Grace: A Book of Inspirational and Spiritual Poetry offers a wonderful healing collection of inspiring and spiritual poems written by Elizabeth Ann Marks. The author was inspired to write this book to help spread the love of God to others. Though she has been writing poetry since the age of ten, after joining a charismatic renewal prayer group, her gift for writing has become spiritual. She was inspired to write for God after being baptized in the Holy Spirit. These poems are elegant and moving. Some are informational about God's intentions for us, His love for us, and some are prayers written from the heart, both praising God and asking for special blessings as well as thanking Him for the blessings He has already bestowed on us. There are special prayers that ask God for healing for others. These prayers have been answered in a very positive way. She says, Many people have already been inspired by these writings. Some have claimed healing during my reading of certain of these poems at the prayer group. Some have been brought to tears, and still others have told me they hear the words spoken by Christ and not by me.Elizabeth Ann Marks is retired and lives in New Brunswick, Canada.
